Live Courses and Enduring Materials
- Process for Certification
The steps for certifying a live event or enduring material are simple:
· Complete the CME live event/enduring material application.
· Send completed application to Marsetta Flowers.
· Please contact the CME office at 205-934-2687 for applicable fees.
We will review application and contact you if we need more information. Upon approval, a letter acknowledging certification of your activity will be sent to the course director, along with a copy to the person listed as "Contact" on the application.
Maintaining certification is an ongoing partnership. Once your activity has been approved for CME credit, we will work with you to establish a system to maintain appropriate records for our files and provide you assistance where needed.
Note: UAB has very strict rules regarding commercial support of CME activities. If you are considering or are intending to use commercial support for your activity, please contact us prior to submitting your CME certification application so that we may instruct you on the appropriate next steps, particularly as they relate to applying for and accepting commercial grants. Failure to follow the UAB policy for commercial support can preclude the Division of CME from certifying your activity.
